How do you get to Waikaremoana?

  • Travel by Plane
    • There are no air services to Waikaremoana. Eastland's main passenger airport in Gisborne is located two and a half hours away from Waikaremoana.
  • Travel by Train
    • There are no train services to Eastland.
  • Travel by Bus
    • Some small shuttle operators conduct direct transport to Waikaremoana from other destinations such as Rotorua and Gisborne. Various coach tours operate throughout Eastland and may include Waikaremoana on their schedule.
  • Rent a Vehicle
    • Several local taxi and shuttle companies operate from Gisborne Airport. Three car rental companies also have depots at the airport.
