Get a Taste of Te Papa's Cultural Treasures

The Museum of New Zealand Te Papa Tongarewa has launched an exciting new cultural tour, Taste of Treasures.
In the 60 minute FIT tour visitors experience a taste of Maori culture and taonga Maori (Maori cultural treasures) in Aotearoa, New Zealand.
The tour takes visitors on a journey through Maori art past and present in Toi Te Papa Art of the Nation; Mana Whenua, Te Papa's Maori exhibition; The Marae, a communal meeting place; and the living exhibition, Bush City.
At the end of the tour, visitors enjoy traditionally inspired light refreshments of kawakawa tea with mänuka honey, rëwena bread, pikopiko pesto, and kawakawa and mänuka honey shortbread.
This tour is ideal for international visitors with an interest in learning more about the indigenous culture of Aotearoa, New Zealand. The tour will run daily at 11am over the summer months (November 1 to March 31). Tickets can be bought on the day at the Information Desk, Level 2. Adult , child .
