How do you get to South Auckland?

  • Travel by Plane
    • More than 30 international airlines service Auckland Airport bringing passengers to and from major international and all domestic destinations. The airport is open 24 hours a day and is located around 35 minutes' drive from central Auckland.
  • Travel by Train
    • As well as having its own public train network, Auckland is the start/end point for The Overlander that travels regularly between Auckland and Wellington.
  • Travel by Bus
    • Auckland is a major destination for many inter-city bus operators and scenic tour buses. Bus or shuttle transport can be caught in Auckland, bound for most destinations in the North Island. Auckland also offers a comprehensive public bus service.
  • Rent a Vehicle
    • All major car rental and motorhome hire companies offer pick-ups from Auckland Airport. If the company doesn't have a base at the airport, they will provide transport to their nearby depot.
