    • A regular Air New Zealand direct flight between Masterton and Auckland brings visitors into the region. Masterton Airport is located about 3km from central Masterton.

    • Masterton is serviced daily by TranzMetro - the public train service based in Wellington. The Wairarapa Connection train stops there at various times of the day.

    • Masterton is connected to Palmerston North and other major NI towns via the InterCity bus network. Local tour bus operators service the region, providing passenger transport and wine tours. Wellington's public bus system also reaches Masterton.
