    • The Hutt Valley & Porirua are not serviced by an air carrier. However, nearby Wellington International Airport, only 30 minutes’ drive away, offers an extensive selection of domestic and international destinations.
  • Travel by Train
    • The Hutt Valley & Porirua are serviced by the TranzMetro rail line which runs between Upper Hutt and Wellington, several times a day.
  • Travel by Bus
    • Upper Hutt is serviced by several national bus networks, and there are also tour companies who operate in the region. The Wellington public bus network extends out to these destinations.

    • Wellington Airport houses five rental car agencies. Rental cars and motorhomes can also be hired from the Wellington ferry terminal in the central city.
