How do you get to Hokianga?

  • Travel by Plane
    • Regular air services arrive and depart from nearby Kaitaia and Whangarei.
  • Travel by Train
    • There are no train services to Hokianga.
  • Travel by Bus
    • Several bus, coach and tour operators pass through Hokianga on the way to other Northland destinations.
  • Rent a Vehicle
    • It’s not currently possibly to hire a vehicle in Hokianga. Most people will pick up their rental car before driving to Hokianga. Alternatively Kaitaia, approximately 1 hour’s drive to the north, has some rental vehicles available.
