How do you get to Gisborne?

  • Travel by Plane
    • Gisborne Airport offers daily flights to and from Wellington and Auckland, and is located five kilometres from Gisborne city centre.
  • Travel by Train
    • There are no train services to Gisborne.
  • Travel by Bus
    • Gisborne is the region's main destination hub. Passenger buses, shuttles and tour buses pass through and/or operate drop-offs and pick-ups in Gisborne.
  • Rent a Vehicle
    • Several local taxi and shuttle companies operate from Gisborne Airport. Three car rental companies also have depots at the airport.
